Yes, Christians can have demons inside of them. Most of the Christians who freak out over this statement probably have at least one.
Ww are supposed to be spiritually clean. No demons, no willful sin, no darkness... the bible is filled with warnings and teachings. Sadly many Christians refuse to believe they are susceptible to demonization.
One of the smartest things Satan did in the church was to start this false doctrine that Christians can't have demons. He is now safe in the bodies and lives of MANY believers, and has even turned them into weapons against Believers who speak the truth about this. A hidden demon is a safe demon.
In the New Testament, the Greek word most often used is: "δαιμονίζομαι (daimonizomai) usually translated “demon-possessed.” However, the word literally means: “to be demonized” or “under demonic influence”. It does not itself distinguish between: total control, partial influence, or external harassment. That distinction developed later in church theology. It's all the same. The level of demonization depends on the level of sin, open doors, and darkness involved in the Christian.
