DELIVERANCE FROM SMOKING

I started smoking cigarettes when I was 10! I was delivered from smoking finally and completely in 2014.

I grew up in a backdlidden Christian home, but my parents, especially my father who had been a pastor for some years, taught me about Jesus and led me to salvation from early childhood. I was in church every Sunday with my Grandma. I knew Jesus, loved Jesus, knew the Gospel and received Him. I was saved as a child!

After living a sinful teen life, I finally surrendered, repented and made Jesus the Lord and King of my life at 21. A month later I was dramatically baptized in the Holy Spirit at the altar at church with evidence of speaking in tongues. I was now a saved Spirit filled Christian.

📌 But I still had addictions. One was SMOKING.

The first time I experienced deliverance was several months after I was baptized in the Holy Spirit in 2000.

🔥 I was delivered through my constant PRAYER! I didn't want to smoke. It was sin. I was convicted over it. So I prayed, and I prayed until one night during prayer, the power of God showed up in my bedroom.

🔥 I saw a demon/spirit in the form of cigarette smoke come out of me! I saw this with my waking eyeballs.

It came out of my chest and just hovered over my bed, swirling around like cigarette smoke does (No, there were NO lit cigarettes in my room)!

I realized at some point this spirit wasn't going to leave my presence until I commanded it to. So I commanded it to leave me in the name of Jesus Christ. I watched it suddenly and quickly flee through my closed window!

I stopped smoking instantly after that for 8 years.

It's sad, and shocking how many in the church don't believe you can have demons as a christian, and will attempt to discredit this and every testimony, and twist every bible verse that doesn't align with their false doctrine.

One of the smartest things Satan did in the church was to start this false doctrine that "Christians can't have demons". He is now safe in the bodies and lives of MANY believers, keeping them bound, and has even turned them into weapons against Believers who speak the truth about this. A hidden demon is a safe demon.

I started smoking again in 2008 during a time of terrible backsliding. Although I came back to the Lord in 2010, I couldn't quit smoking until 2014. It was so much harder the second time around. But I finally came to a point where I KNEW I had to quit.

I knew if God was going to use me as profoundly as I wanted Him to (I wanted to be a missionary at that time), I couldn't be a smoking Christian!

I was a SMOKING Spirit-filled, Bible believing Christian having visions, dreams and encounters with God.

My closeness to God is what caused such deep conviction over the smoking. It had to go, but it was so incredibly hard to quit. I was so very addicted.

🔥 I struggled, prayed, fasted, cried out, destroyed innumerable packs of cigarettes, "quit" SO many times, only to pick it back up the next day... on and on, day after day, the battle to quit smoking RAGED... until one day the presence of God manifested in front of my waking eyeballs in the form of a CLOUD OF GOD'S GLORY!

Some Christians mock the "glory cloud" as they mock and criticize everything they don't understand. It's sad. I am an eye witness to the reality of the "GLORY CLOUD" of God Almighty! Yes, He still manifests in a cloud of glory!

I was outside, standing on my porch in broad daylight, SMOKING A CIGARETTE, WHILE PRAYING TO BE DELVIERED FROM SMOKING... when suddenly I saw a LITERAL THICK WHITE CLOUD begin to form in front of me!

It was within my reach about a yard in length, width and depth. The wind was blowing out there, blowing everything away, but not that cloud... it was unaffected by the physical wind, because GOD was in that cloud!

I couldn't believe my eyes. I rubbed them, blinked hard... But there it was forming, thick, tangible, swirling within itself, moving and billowing like a white storm. I felt the presence of God so strong.

I saw what looked like GLITTER within the cloud. This is why I add glittery clouds in my art when I want to express God's glory presence.

Then lighenting began to flash within this cloud! Lighening! I could have reached out and touched all this, but I knew in my heart and soul that I could NOT! It was too powerful. It was too holy. It was God's manifested holy presence and I did not dare touch it.

This cloud of God's glory took only moments to form fully, as I stood there with my burning cigarette. I glanced at my cigarette and I watched that cigarette suddenly snuff out!

If you know anything about cigarettes, the red hot burning cherry does not just snuff out mid cigarette. It has to be put out by crushing. This was a cigarette I had just lit, so it was not a dying cigarette.

🔥 GOD PUT THAT CIGARETTE OUT!!!

I dropped the dead cold cigarette on the ground, and stood there and stared at that cloud of glory in awe of God and His presence for a long time after.

In awe that my eyes were seeing what they were seeing. In awe that God put out my cigarette. In awe of His mercy.

Then, I felt God pulling the addiction out of me as I continued to stand there. I felt Him pouring His Spirit into me more, filling that empty place that cigarette had filled. It was a whirlwind going through me. Evil going out. His Holy Spirit coming in.

That was the last cigarette I ever smoked.

The battle may rage. The situation or addiction may seem strong and impossible to defeat... but let me tell you something... GOD IS GREATER. Don't give up just because it's hard. Your deliverance may be just up ahead.

He is faithful. He answers prayers. The problem with us is that we give up before we get deliverance. We stop praying before we get the answer. We are lazy. My greatest deliverances were after my hardest battles. Press in today, tomorrow and everyday until you encounter God and see your prayers answered.
